Job Description
Key Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Host Global Working Call - (Architecture/Style).
  • Lead resolution of Global build and product issues at Working Call.
  • Work with CME's and Global ME's to resolve cross-compartment issues and bring to Working Call, if necessary.
  • Raise cross-style issues to Architecture Working Call to determine Single Voice of ME.
  • Ensure lessons learned are communicated to all regions.
  • Host Architecture Leadership Calls.
  • Escalate Architectural and Style issues that cannot be resolved to Leadership Call
  • Provide Single Global ME General Assembly Voice to Program Team
  • Attend and Participate in Program Meetings (Architecture Development, MIT, VAPIR, VCIT, Readiness Review, Health Checks, Timing Workshops) when applicable to Architecture/Style.
  • Single voice of GA for Product Integration Strategy & Issues to other ME Centers.
  • Define initial load case plan for virtual assessments and coordinate Virtual Reviews.
  • Track Architectural / Program / Style MR Compliance in the MRDB and provide status to MIM/MIT.
  • Create and submit 5-phase documents for major issue/no-builds for issue escalation.
  • Conduct virtual tryouts throughout GVDP and communicate issues back to Homeroom - (Style).

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proven skills and experience in dealing with ambiguous situations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team(s) and work effectively with other departments
  • Successfully working with Global partners to communicate manufacturing requirements and needs,
  • Utilize systems and processes to successfully complete work and provide manufacturing inputs and deliverables
  • Managing global sharing of work on new vehicle program
  • Utilize processes to resolve manufacturing issues
  • Demonstrated success in resolving cross cultural issues
  • Demonstrated and proven ability to handle multiple projects and requirements simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written) and meeting facilitation skills
  • Ability to make complex concepts / issues easily understood by ESL speaking peers.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Required flexibility in working hours. Due to global business requirements, meetings may start between 5:00am and 9:00pm.
  • Extended hours required as part of job requirements.

EXPERIENCE:
  • In depth Knowledge of the GM and Vehicle Systems Product & Process Integration processes and procedures including BOP, Bill of Equipment, MRs, Manufacturing Requirements Database (MRDB), Concept Sheets, GVDP, Advance Vehicle Development Center.
  • In depth knowledge of GM vehicle assembly process in GA for both Body Frame Integral (BFI) and Body off Frame (BOF) architectures.
  • New vehicle program launch experience (lean BOP / BOE / GMS compliant plant).

EDUCATION:
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
Preferred: Master's Degree in Engineering or MBA.
