Facebook

September 15, 2021

Facebook is looking for an analytical thinker with experience in policy, government, business operations, or law to join our Content Policy team. The team’s mission is to create and communicate rules for our products that empower expression and foster a safe environment for people on Facebook. As a member of Facebook's Content Policy Team, you will work closely with a number of other teams at Facebook and Instagram, including our Community Operations, Product, Legal, Communications, Public Policy, and Governance & Strategic Initiatives teams, on content and product policies. You will play a key role in developing, applying, and communicating our Community Standards both internally and externally. You will also manage high-profile content escalations. At times, you will be expected to make difficult decisions, under pressure about whether to allow or remove content. The ideal candidate will be an execution-minded professional who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, can think strategically, adapt quickly, work independently, and rapidly earn credibility and trust within all levels of the organization. They will be able to critically analyze the tradeoffs and benefits of refinements to Facebook's policies and processes and communicate these issues effectively. They will also be a self-starter and able to effectively work with a diverse set of professionals. They should be passionate about the services we provide and the people that we serve. Given the demands of content-related escalations, the candidate will sometimes be expected to work irregular hours, including early mornings, late nights, or weekends.
