Public Policy Manager, Connectivity and Access

Facebook is seeking a Public Policy Manager for its Connectivity & Access Policy team to help develop our positions on global video, communications, and accessibility policy issues. This person will support our video and accessibility advocacy efforts. In this role you will use your experience and knowledge of internet policy and regulatory issues, including video, communications, and accessibility issues to work in global cross functional teams.
  • Responsible for policy risk product counseling and external consultations involving over the top messaging, video and accessibility policy issues.
  • Identify risks and opportunities related to these issues, and provide guidance and support.
  • Act as liaison on these issues between internal business teams and country/regional policy teams.
  • Develop briefing documents including policy positions, messaging, and Q&A in advance of new product rollouts.
  • Monitor relevant OTT messaging, video, and accessibility regulatory and legislative proceedings globally and draft related submissions.
  • Advocate policy positions with external stakeholders.
  • Degree in public policy, law, or related field
  • 5+ years of policy or legal experience in the telecommunications or tech industry
  • JD
  • Government and/or international experience
  • Experience in telecom policy and video policy
