Financial Operations Analyst – Facilities

Facebook is seeking a highly motivated, organized and multi-talented Financial Operations Analyst to join our Real Estate, Projects and Facilities team in EMEA. The ideal candidate must manage all financial and accounting operations and recognize how to strike a balance on meeting financial and accounting standards and controls, while still moving fast enough to support the rapid business growth. The position is based in Facebook’s International headquarters in Dublin.The successful candidate must be a highly organized, focused individual with deep understanding of the accounting cycle and internal controls. You will be a key liaison to the Facilities operations / projects team and FP&A business partners, providing documentation and analyses to support accurate reporting of EMEA expense trends and activities. You will be the primary interface with Procurement, Internal Finance and Accounts Payable to ensure that Facilities Operations conforms to all documentation requirements for submission of PRs, and will act as first approver on all reqs to ensure budget conformity. Additionally, you will assist in implementing processes and streamlining information to drive effective business decisions across locations.
  • Responsible for designing the financial strategy, coordination, analysis, and submission of Facilities Operations and Construction Projects annual budgets
  • Governance and controllership of the Facilities Operations and Construction Projects Budgets
  • Responsible for all financial reports, cashflows, monthly accruals, quarterly forecasts for Facilities Operations and Construction Projects
  • Become local subject expert on accounting and financial procedures and standards to support the Facilities team
  • Partner closely with various cross functional teams to solve for operational complexities including tax, FP&A, accounting, infra-accounting, procure to pay, etc
  • Drive continuous process improvement in all financial processes to ensure scalability and meeting accounting and financial standards
  • Participation in global standardization initiatives
  • Recognized accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, ICAS, etc) or degree in Accounting and Finance
  • Relevant experience with large, fast-growing, multi-national company
  • Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent planning, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Superb attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the "big picture”
  • Must have a strong customer service ethos, a flexible approach to tasks and an ability to work well within a team environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with large ERP (Oracle Fusion, Oracle Omega, SAP, etc) is very desirable
  • Experience with Facilities related operations would be beneficial
