As a Factory Operations Manager in FRL, you will partner with key cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment across advanced manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, test engineering, logistics, trade compliance, legal and our contract manufacturing partners providing early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are manufacturing-capable from concept, to mass production and through end of life.The main focus will be to launch our high-quality products cost competitively, and with the focused responsiveness to ensure product availability in the channels at the required times. Ensuring our launch volumes, costs, quality, reliability and social responsibility are also key metrics for this role. You’ll be involved in multiple projects and act as a point of contact of the Factory Operation teams to participate in project meetings. Experience with a high-volume mass production background in the consumer electronics industry. Candidates must have a solid background with the manufacturing process. This must also be complemented with strong interpersonal and communication skills, keen focus on driving business results, ability to work in ambiguous environments, and strong willingness to collaborate and optimize overall business objectives.
  • Partner with key cross-functional teams during early development and lead ramp & factory readiness, Influence product manufacturability, testability, serviceability, reliability, flexibility and cost effectiveness by coordinating cross functional partner.
  • Multiple project management and act as a point of contact of the Factory Operation team to participate in project meetings.
  • Execution to Product Development Process and all associated Phase Gates.
  • Drive yield and UPH improvements with our partners and in collaboration with other cross-functional teams.
  • Drive cost and cycle time reductions with our partners and in collaboration with other cross-functional teams.
  • Develop strategy to drive cost and cycle time reduction through line balancing, and line automation.
  • Ability to frequent travel to Asia Pacific regions (China Mainland, Taiwan, VN etc.).
  • 8+ years of experience in Operations engineering activities and outsource manufacturing management.
  • Proven background in project management in factory operations in the high-volume hardware manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated leadership through cross functional team management and mentoring technical skills for junior engineers.
  • Experience communicating and influencing all levels of management.
  • Demonstrated technical skills and experience, including a detailed understanding of Final Assembly, Test, Pack and SMT processes.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing & Operations Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience managing Asia contract manufacturing base.
  • Track record of identifying, developing and promoting talent.
  • Experience delivering operational excellence.
  • Cross functional partnering experience.
