This person will lead and manage daily visual content efforts across the @shop account under the direction of the Shopping Editorial lead. This person will drive visual and product-based storytelling to create and package original shoppable content on the account to drive high impact and authentic use of Instagram Shopping. The role will be directly managing relationships with all featured brands on @shop. The right person will have deep knowledge of retail trends and cultural moments and experience bringing them to life through the shopping editorial lens. They will serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders working across Instagram Shopping on priority initiatives and handle day-to-day oversight of communications with featured partners, content performance analysis, fielding and prioritizing incoming requests, troubleshooting product issues, and improving performance of daily content on the @shop account. This person will lead the original creative efforts around the editorial arm of the Holiday campaign. This work will require cross-functional engagement with colleagues across regions and will work within Instagram’s Media Partnerships’ Shopping Editorial team. This role will work closely with and direct the Creative Producer contract role as needed. It reports into the Shopping Editorial Lead.
  • Implement overall shopping editorial strategy by leading visual strategy on the @shop account on all surfaces. This is defined as liaising and creative direction brand founders, calling in product to shoot originally and coming up with creative briefs for video (Reels, IGTV, Live) content executions.
  • Collaborate with Shopping colleagues on @shop content plan that supports Editorially Merchandised collections and Consumer Marketing efforts around key Shopping audience segments.
  • Serve as point person on cross-functional initiatives under the direction of the Editorial Lead.
  • Track, analyze, and communicate qualitative visual trends and quantitative metrics as they relate to @shop.
  • Manage freelance creative vendor relationships top to bottom as relates to @shop content production.
  • Work closely with Community Lab to better understand community behavior around shopping and represent microtrends in brand selection on @shop.
  • 8+ years experience in editorial, production or social media within a fashion brand, media platform, or e-commerce.
  • Knowledge of current trends in fashion, beauty. Streetwear and home categories, and experience identifying new trends early-on.
  • Demonstrated editorial packaging experience to storytell through product.
  • On set experience, directing a freelance production team to execute on a set vision.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently to drive multiple projects, and adapting to a changing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally across multiple internal and external teams to build consensus and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience learning and understanding in-house tooling for content creation as well as in using a variety of creative tools (such as Adobe Acrobat, Creative Suite, Photoshop, and Final Cut Pro or Premier) for creating and editing compelling visuals.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced editorial environment with daily deliverables.
  • Experience communicating learnings and data in a way that resonates with different cross functional teams.
