San Francisco, CA 94111, US

Company Description
Etsy is the global marketplace for unique and creative goods. We build, power, and evolve the tools and technologies that connect entrepreneurs with buyers around the world. As an Etsy employee, you’ll tackle unique problems alongside talented coworkers committed to Keeping Commerce Human. We're large enough that you'll focus on meaningful, complex challenges, but small enough that you can make a rewarding impact.
Job Description
The International Search team is working to make sure that Etsy buyers around the world are able to find and discover the things they love, in their native language, among Etsy’s unique inventory of 80 million listings.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will develop and refine a strategy and roadmap, and execute on plans to build sustained value for our business and our customers. You’ll collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, infrastructure engineers, and product engineers to make great technical decisions to solve complex problems.
Here are a few examples:
  • How can we use past buyer behavior to match search results that more accurately reflect a user’s intent?
  • How can we show more locally relevant onsite ads to international buyers within our ad model bidding constraints?
  • How can we improve search results when buyer and seller languages don’t match?
  • How can we use the latest in machine learning to improve our international search ranking & related pipelines?

With your expertise, we will build products spanning machine learning, machine translation, and backend web development. We tend to launch our projects as experiments and are always looking for faster ways to measure value.
This is a full-time role located in our Brooklyn or San Francisco offices or Remote within the United States.
