We are looking for a Senior Brand Designer to join our Brooklyn-based Brand Design
team. Senior Brand Designers enlist their talent and craft to bring Etsy's unique
positioning to life anywhere a customer meets us: in marketing channels, web, email,
social, native products and beyond. On the Brand Team, you’ll concept and execute
large scale marketing campaigns that express Etsy’s rights to win.
Reporting to the Associate Creative Director, You’ll provide creative solutions and
subject matter expertise informed by strategic and cultural insights, research, brand
positioning, business goals, and an up to date knowledge of the competitive landscape.
Day to day, you’ll collaborate with partners across subject areas at Etsy to bring
marketing campaigns, evergreen communications, and products to life. An excellent
candidate champions collaboration, strategic, forward thinking and communication. You
are an advocate for groundbreaking creative and design.
This is a full-time position [located (eventually) in Brooklyn We offer flexible workplace
policies that can accommodate work from home applicants who are comfortable
traveling to an office location 2-3 times per week.

About the Role
In this role you will:
Communicate complex topics strategically, intuitively, and creatively across Buyer Marketing, Seller Marketing, Impact, PR and Product Marketing initiatives
Brainstorm with copywriters to build innovative 360 campaign concepts that strategically deliver on the brief
Interact with, present to, and explain creative concepts and design systems to internal partners of all levels
See projects through the entire campaign and design process; from creative concept to iterations of mockups, visual guideline creation, rounds of production and vendor feedback, finished creative assets and final production files
Partner with key stakeholders cross functionally, as well as within our Brand team (including Content, Brand Strategy, Core Brand, Creative Operations) to align around creative solutions that consistently innovate, delight customers, and exceed business objectives
Works collaboratively with Creative Operations/Production to ensure proposed solutions can be executed within the time and budget
Contribute to the evolution of our brand by exploring unique ideas, production processes, approaches, methods, and solutions
Ensure thoughtful visual consistency and quality across multiple areas of work by sharing progress, providing thoughtful critique, and working collaboratively
Resolve ambiguity to execute high-quality creative work in a fast-paced environment

About the Role
Ideally you'll bring:
6+ years of experience in related marketing and advertising fields at agencies,
studios or in-house
A portfolio that demonstrates critical thinking applied across a range of creative
Experience crafting compelling visuals across various brand touchpoints
including digital experiences, performance marketing channels, social content,
OOH and more that elevate and evolves brand aesthetics
Experience providing creative partnership to photographers, directors,
illustration and motion graphics production vendors pre-post production
Experience in core design fundamentals including typography, composition,
color theory, and brand guidelines with excellent attention to detail and
A current knowledge of popular culture and trends, as well as creative work
produced within the advertising industry
Proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite
Feel comfortable working in a fast-paced design environment
The ability to self manage and exercise stellar time-management skills
A passion for utilizing collaborative methods as a part of the creative process to
encourage idea generation and shared decision making among designers,
copywriters and partners
