About the Business Development Team:
The Business Development Team supports seller acquisition and revenue growth across all product categories. The team crafts strategic deals with big ecosystem players to extend eBay’s reach. Our goal is to rapidly increase eBay’s footprint in the categories, deliver significant business growth for our sellers and offer all the inventory our buyers expect.

About the Opportunity:
We are looking for a Business Development Lead to accelerate our growth in our Watch category in the North American market. The Watch business is a new focused initiative featuring a category where eBay feels it has a strategic advantage.
The Business Development lead will focus on bringing brands, large distributors, wholesalers, and resellers on to eBay to sell directly to the millions of buyers in our marketplace. She/He will be responsible for developing and executing customer and inventory acquisition strategies to increase the number of sellers. This includes new sales strategies, sales pitches, and business plans. They are required to have an in-depth understanding of the Watch category. The role is responsible for identifying, developing, and qualifying the target prospect list by working closely with the GM and Category Managers to identify and build out goals.
Build Business Development strategies and value propositions for target prospects
Develop creative solutions to identify new prospects and build a strong pipeline
Deliver pitches, through business meetings and one-on-one conversations
Negotiate and close contracts with new sellers as needed per company guidelines and policy
Build trust and long-term relationships with new customers
Lead reporting on progress throughout the BD process
Be an industry influencer and stay current with research trends
Attend networking events and conventions
Who You are:

Goal-oriented, project manager bringing energy and optimism to the team
Bachelor’s degree in business, administration, or related field
4+ years of previous experience in business development, sales, or related field
2+ years of specific Watch industry domain experience
Excellent industry knowledge of key players in the Watch industry
Knowledge of tools like Salesforce CRM, Outreach, and ZoomInfo a plus
2+ years in an e-commerce related position
