Within the Account Services Management team at Dell, we are looking for an Optimize for Infrastructure - Technical Account Manager to join our Global Optimize team.
Dell Technologies, a leading provider of enterprise solutions, is seeking a Technical Account Manager who will work with their assigned accounts to ensure their VxRail Hyper Converged Infrastructure Solution is operating properly and efficiently. This position will provide daily monitoring, technical consultative guidance, proactive support, and regularly scheduled system reviews to maximize performance and optimization of their HCI systems. The Optimize Service is delivered remotely with the exception of an annual site visit for each assigned account.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct customer contact point for technical needs, best practices, and customer handling guidance.

  • Daily solution monitoring – proactively looking for anomalies or early indicators of potential issues

  • Conduct and deliver deep dive monthly or quarterly analysis (configuration, performance, and best practice) for each assigned account.

  • Advise on operating and maintaining an Optimized VxRail/HCI environment.

  • Provide proactive guidance on features/functionality and operational efficiencies to maximize ROI.

  • Advise on solutions and best practices for meeting resource, capacity, and performance requirements.

  • Act as internal VMware and HCI expert to assist with team member upskilling and future product offerings

  • Up to 25% travel.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 8+ years’ experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies (Storage, Compute, Networking) and solutions

  • Large scale VMware deployments, configuration, support, and performance analysis experience.

  • Demonstrated understanding of VMware technical environments (Hyper Converged Infrastructure & Virtualization)

    • vSAN

    • vSphere

    • VCF (NSX-T / vRealize Suite)

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and OSI layers

  • Enterprise technical certifications (i.e. SNIA, VCP, CCNA/P, ISM, etc.).

  • 8+ years enterprise experience with data center technologies such as Windows, Linux, VMware, Compellent, Unity, PowerStore, blade technology and networking.

  • 8+ years troubleshooting complex technical issues.
