Senior Software Engineering Manager
The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will direct the activities of a software development function for software application enhancements and new products. You will work with internal and external partners on the analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification of computer programs.
Participate in long-range planning and development of operational goals and engineering specifications
Contribute to the modification, development and implementation of company practices and policies that affect subordinate employees
Create schedules and work plans and be accountable for managing a budget
Provide innovative solutions to complex problems and communicate progress toward project/program goals
Liaise with senior management to report on project and program milestones and to present project needs

Ability to apply software lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies in an Agile, cost-effective and secure manner in order to bring high-quality products to market on time
Experience in Windows programming. Solid understanding of C#, .Net and usage of latest design patterns
Balance short term versus long term actions, strategic vs tactical requirements, while continuing to align the road map to achieve the strategic vision.
Capability to write and review requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, tech plans and documentation
Ability to lead and develop teams in a multi-geo, distributed development environment
Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal skills and experience in presenting to business and technical teams in an effective and persuasive manner. High degree of efficacy to navigate and relate to multiple audience levels.
Aptitude to assess and optimize program tradeoffs such as schedule, performance, quality, and cost.
Experience with Security Development Lifecycle (SDL)
Experience with Intel and/or AMD system architectures
Experience with Linux and/or Chrome OS.
Good vendor relationship skills with external partners
10+ years of relevant experience
4 years managerial experience
