Analyst, Demand Planning

What you’ll achieve
As an Analyst, you will be responsible for taking global demand/supply balancing actions for the Dell ‘Build to Stock’ supply chain. Collaboration with cross-functional partners in Demand Planning, Fulfillment, Global Production Planning, Sales Ops, Merchandising, and within the Global Operations Planning team is critical to the success of this role.
Using a combination of general product knowledge and excellent data skills, the general theme of this role is to determine the appropriate actions needed to balance demand and supply at a global level for products in our supply chain.
You will:
  • Weekly root/cause and analysis to understand the over/under performance of the portfolio. Directly coordinate with replenishment planners and merchandising teams to optimize customer service levels
  • Cross-functional alignment with Production Planning and Fulfillment teams to successfully execute customer delivery expectations through large order management
  • Daily dynamic lead-time setting to establish accurate customer expectations based on knowledge of the current attainment, forecast, and supply pipeline
  • Manage, track, and collaborate with demand planning teams to reduce aged inventory in order to maintain healthy inventory position for the business
  • Generate Holiday Planning indices to outline the supply chain’s ability to meet specialized Sales Initiatives; liaison between Global Operations, Fulfillment, and Merchandising teams to facilitate Sales Events.

  • Key results include measure and improvement of Dell’s customer service levels
  • Inventory health from a Working Capital perspective, while balancing cost/inventory/lead-times and setting a better customer experience.
  • 2+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or an advanced degree without experience
