Benefits Coordinator

The Team:
Datadog is seeking a Benefits Coordinator who has a passion to learn all things benefits while supporting the benefits administration for all U.S.and Canadian employees, and partner closely with our Benefits Manager on ad hoc reporting and projects. This customer service-oriented role communicates and administers benefit plans, programs and policies through direct interaction with employees as well as vendors and other departments.
What You’ll Do:

  • Meet with and respond to employees providing accurate benefit information in a timely manner

  • Assist employees with enrolling in available benefit plans and resolving issues with benefit providers

  • Review and approve new hire enrollment and life event changes in HRIS

  • Analyze benefits renewal data in order to make recommendations to executive team

  • Support the Benefits Manager in the entire annual open enrollment process every fall

  • Reconcile semi-monthly payroll deductions related to benefits with Payroll and Benefits Analyst

  • Work with outside accounting firm on annual retirement plan audit process

  • Perform non-discrimination testing for Section 125 plans

  • Maintain and update Benefits Dashboard in Workday with relevant information, latest plan documents and other materials

  • Coordinate onsite events such as wellness fairs and information sessions

  • Process and or coordinate disability insurance, FMLA and PFL (Paid Family Leave) claims and coordinate leave requests to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws

  • Keep up-to-date on rules and regulations pertaining to employee benefits

What You’ll Need:

  • Strong understanding of benefits processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules/procedures

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and G Suite (including advanced skills with Excel)

  • Experience with open enrollment or annual benefits renewals cycle

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Sound professional judgment and discretion to handle confidential matters

  • Ability work in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy or quality of work product

  • Working knowledge of Workday is a plus
