About the opportunity
We are looking for a SOX Program Manager to join our growing Finance organization. This role will be critical to the success of process implementations and ensuring changes and improvements are reviewed with a keen understanding of SOX implications. Working closely with Accounting, Financial Operations and IT teams, the SOX Program Manager requires strong communication skills, a curiosity about the full end-to-end accounting cycle and how and where systems interact, and the skills to drive projects to completion. Focusing on the control environment, including documentation and recommendations for improvements, this role is key to the success of the Finance organization and the company's future growth.
What to expect?
Plan, implement, coordinate, and execute all phases of SOX compliance, to include assessing risks, leading walkthroughs and identifying/validating key controls.
Work directly with business process owners to organize and facilitate the implementation of SOX controls, including business process redesign, policies, procedures, documentation, evidence evaluation, and system enhancements.
Assess new processes, or changes to existing processes, to identify financial risks before launch, providing recommendations for improvement and evaluating controls.
Work with process and control owners to develop detailed documentation of SOX controls and processes utilizing a combination of flowchart and narrative technologies.
Work with the Corporate Controller and VP of Finance on all finance processes to combine both efficiency and SOX effectiveness to enable the company to continue to scale rapidly.
Collaborate with IT to ensure IT General Controls support and are in alignment with financial policies and procedures
Design and present SOX training relevant to all levels of accounting and finance.
Coordinate creation of US GAAP financial statement reports in NetSuite, including testing reports, creating a process for regular report maintenance, and suggesting improvements on chart of accounts and related mapping.
Act as a bridge between the Accounting, Financial Reporting and Financial Operations team to ensure an emphasis on US GAAP and public company accounting in operational design, focus and emphasis.
What you need to be successful?
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
Minimum 4 years experience with a combination of Big 4 public accounting and private industry experience in a large, global public company; tech company (SaaS) a plus
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills with the ability to build effective partnerships across the organization
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) working with cross-functional teams

Colorado Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
Colorado Salary Range: $120,000-$125,000
