Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Define cost disclosure strategy, cost and price argumentation for complex global projects
  • Ensure and influence project profitability through strategic preparation of cost arguments
  • Lead cross-functional alignment and collaboration with sales, engineering, controlling, manufacturing, purchasing, marketing, etc.
  • Ensure alignment of calculation data for global projects as well as consistency of cost disclosure with manufacturing processes, cost calculations in multiple plans and purchasing/market data
  • Independently prepare and execute cost workshops, cost audits and difficult price negotiations with global customers
  • Provide first level support and expertise for sales and project management teams globally
  • Coordinate management approval for cost breakdown requests
  • Support global and cross-divisional network with other SPA responsible associates as well as best practice sharing
  • Ensure close alignment with central sales representatives for each customer team

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. Business Administration, Business Sciences or Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant areas of Automotive Sales, Plant Controlling, Finance/Accounting, Engineering and/or Manufacturing
  • 3+ years of experience in pricing and/or cost calculation

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep technical interest and understanding of Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Familiarity with the cost structure of automotive products
  • Financial knowledge skills as well as experience in pricing and/or cost calculation
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and sharp attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid negotiation skills and the ability to defend calculations convincing arguments
  • Ability to work under pressure and enjoys taking on new challenges
  • Experience working in cross-functional and global teams
  • Fluent in English, German language skills a plus
  • Strong computer skills, i.e., MS Office, PowerPoint, and especially Excel
  • Flexible working hours as well as the willingness to travel internationally
