Job Description
As a Project Manager for Bosch Engineering Group you will be responsible for managing the commercial definition and execution of unique projects in the autonomous, electric, and connected automotive space for Progressive Mobility Players. You will have the opportunity to collaborate and coordinate the development activities with a global Bosch development team - in North America, Germany and China as well as interact directly with customers.
Bosch Engineering Group’s extensive customer portfolio includes a spectrum of major manufacturers from luxury and sports car segments to commercial vehicles, including highly advanced technical applications. We are a relatively small group within Bosch and work dynamically as a team. We service a variety of customers managing both large and small projects.
Responsibilities include:
  • Responsible to develop relationships with multiple customers - establish customer relations, acquisition strategies and pre-selling activities to achieve target growth.
  • Responsible for managing the technical and commercial definition and execution of Electrification/Chassis/ADAS development projects for Progressive Mobility customers in North America.
  • Directly report to the Customer Account Manager on technical and commercial aspects of running projects.
  • Break-down projects into specific work-packages, including review of requirements and specs.
  • Estimate required effort to define necessary resources and create price indications and quotes for customers.
  • Creation and negotiation of quotations, tracking of budget, issuing and tracking of invoices, budget planning, and process development.
  • Maintain global list of open items, create and distribute meeting minutes for internal and external meetings.
  • Requirements management, project cost and controlling and commercial viability.
  • Trigger and execute quality checks (milestone reviews, quality assessments, etc.)
  • This position involves domestic/international travel of approximately 15% time to support customer meetings and/or project team offsite activities.

Qualifications
  • B.S. in Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software or Controls Engineering.
  • 3+ years of project management experience
    • To include responsibility for acquisition activities required for running a project.
  • 5+ years of experience in the technical field (preferably automotive) in the areas of electrification, chassis systems or advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
  • Working experience in acquisition strategies and pre-selling activities

Preferred:
  • M.S. in Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software or Controls Engineering.
  • Working experience in the area of electrification, chassis systems or advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
  • Working experience in a customer facing role, including strong negotiation and relationship building skills.
  • Sharp attention to detail and polished organization skills.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to provide technical solutions built around customer needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the aptitude for presenting topics to all organizational levels.
