In the Technology Business Unit, we launched an ambitious I&D Plan that mirrors our Enterprise I&D Plan and driven forward by an exceptional group of Leaders passionate about and invested in creating a culture where everyone feels they have the same opportunity to progress and advance.
The I&D Project Manager will be a critical member of this group and support the delivery of the Technology I&D Plan across all Technology business units. They will partner with key stakeholders to help ensure Tech achieves our I&D aspirations and the objectives of each of the Tech I&D Plan Workstreams. The incumbent will be a key member of the Tech I&D leadership team, working closely and collaborating with all members of the team. They will possess outstanding communication and organizational skills, and a passion for fostering a workplace culture where every person feels that they belong. They will also have a proven record of excellence operating independently, and within a high performing team environment.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the Technology I&D Plan Project Management Office

  • Help facilitate bi-weekly leadership check-in meetings including taking descriptive and succinct minutes, and managing the completion of action items

  • Help prepare materials for bi-weekly I&D Updates to the CIO

  • Track I&D Workstreams Goals & KPIs

  • Maintain collaboration site and documents, including an updated I&D Milestones calendar

  • Provide end-to-end events coordination (when required)

  • Support Technology Colleague Networks & Communities, including BEN-Tech, Tech I&D Community Partnerships, and Women in Technology (WIT)

  • Understand Enterprise Colleague Network guidelines and best practices and help reinforce this with BEN-Tech and WIT

  • Identify opportunities for BEN-Tech and WIT to collaborate and cross-pollinate

  • Help prepare materials, record minutes, and follow through on action items for Quarterly Global WIT Steering Committee Meetings

  • Provide project management support for I&D community partnerships

  • Experience leading Technical projects / implementations or events (such as Hackathons, coding challenges) would is desirable

  • Provide live and virtual end-to-end events coordination and support (where applicable)

  • Provide support on special projects

  • Cultivate strong relationships and open lines of communication with members at all levels of the colleague teams

  • Keep informed on external Tech I&D trends and initiatives to help position AXP for future opportunities

  • Experience working with project management, leading I&D or Events Coordination

  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and manage various requests with tight timelines

  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and work autonomously

  • Strong interpersonal skills. You can build trust and form genuine relationships with a wide range of individuals quickly and enjoy supporting others to do what they do even better.

  • Typically holds a Bachelor's or Master's Degree (or has equivalent work experience)
