  • 3+ years experience as a producer/production manager or line producer
  • 3+ years experience with budgeting, scheduling and cost reports

  • Minimum 3+ years editing and/or writing long form audio, long form magazine, or long form television/film formats
  • Deep understanding of long form narrative, three-act structure.
  • Know the difference between “showing” and “telling”
  • Experience editing and writing long form narration and writing for the ear
Wondery (An Amazon company) is looking for a senior story editor to work closely with the senior producer of the new shows department. We are looking for someone experienced in audio storytelling, with a curiosity about the world, and the ability to tell stories in an entertaining, dramatically compelling and emotionally engaging way. Being a strong writer, editor and understanding story is a key part of the success of our series.

In this role, you will provide detailed edits and notes on our “always on” long-form narrative format series.

Job responsibilities
  • Provide detailed notes and guidance for writers as they break down serialized narrative stories and develop detailed outlines
  • Edit scripts - both high level notes and more specific line edits/revisions
  • Work with the senior producer and series writer to meet delivery deadlines and determine series topics.
