We are looking for an experienced Product Manager-Tech (PMT) for FinTech Automation Services Team. The Automation Services team is responsible for developing common building blocks for disparate business processes requiring hundreds of thousands of manual hours. We innovate in processing trillions of records in near real time and providing self-service capabilities to our customers to perform data transformation, computations and reconciliation. We build controls and auditing capabilities for our users to perform their tasks with a high degree of confidence and efficiency. We are currently laying down the overall architecture for the Automation Services team. Our aim is to build reusable backend and front-end components as a single integrated platform for all of our users’ automation needs. This is your opportunity to work hand in hand with the engineers and customers to define the overall product vision.
As a Senior PMT, you will own the product roadmap and negotiate features and release timelines with multiple teams to maximize the benefit to Amazon. A successful PMT is someone who is highly analytical, technical and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple solutions that delight our customers. You must understand technologies and recognize when the design of a feature is complex limits performance, scale, extensibility or our ability innovate in the future. You will articulate technology requirements for a feature/API and asks the right technical questions. You will identify risks in technology design choices and assess the impact of emerging technologies on feature use cases.
The ideal candidate for this role will have business and product sense combined with a solid understanding of financial and technical concepts. You will need to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment without being hindered by ambiguity. High judgment, ability to influence, exceptional communications and the ability to partner with technical as well as non-technical stakeholders are essential to success in this role.
  • MBA or other related post graduate degree.
  • 8+ years’ experience in engineering and/or technical product management
  • Experience working within Finance teams is preferred with a foundational knowledge of core Accounting/Financial concepts.
  • Excellent customer engagement; demonstrated success when delivering programs or solutions for external customer
