The Role:
As a Principal Technical Program Manager in Reliability Organization, you will work closely with an internal and external cross-functional teams to drive key aspects of Product Integrity. You will drive and motivate the cross-functional team to deliver the product(s) as per the agreed-to reliability and safety requirements. You will be responsible for the coordination and planning of all product integrity related escalations and drive deliverables to ensure the timely release of product to production. You will contribute to the Product Development Process (PDP) and other mechanisms required to ensure predictable execution during the development cycle as well as escalation mechanisms to seek timely involvement of executive management and cross functional leaders. You will define, drive and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the reliability programs. In addition, you will create mechanisms to guide teams and share best practices across Technical Program Managers and other critical roles on the cross-functional team. In this role, you will:
  • Build strategic product engagement and execution plans for new class of products and initiatives from product integrity standpoint, balancing business needs with product risks and resource availability for on-time solution delivery.
  • Drive reliability engineering for hard problems & product escalations, make technical tradeoffs, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues. Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels. Lead, communicate progress, issues and escalations on complex problems to senior exec leadership.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, influence direction and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
  • Establish standard reports to provide concise and effective communications to key stakeholders on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments.
  • Define and drive product integrity engagement and influence broader hardware groups
  • Define and track key performance metrics for product reliability to measure process efficiencies and highlight bottlenecks. Create and maintain clear, user-friendly process documentation: templates, tools, process maps, graphical representations, etc.

  • Experience in consumer electronic device industry is preferred, but related industries will be considered
  • Experience delivering multiple concurrent projects with aggressive schedules
  • Prior experience in the automotive, robotics or medical field or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience leading training, process mapping, and documentation
  • Experience developing web-based team collaboration pages in Confluence, Share Point, etc.
  • Self-starter that can identify issues and craft solutions with minimal direction
  • Understanding of organizational transformation at scale
