• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of Executive Assistant experience or equivalent
  • Experience with travel coordination
  • Experience with reconciling expenses
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an Executive Assistant to support Directors across the Public Sector team. This exciting position requires high levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism whilst dealing with senior professionals both inside and outside the company. The successful candidate will require high attention to detail, bias for action, detailed planning and strong organizational skills and will be comfortable supporting remote Director's in different time zones.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate well and be able to take swift, effective action whilst proactively solving complex problems with little or no guidance. The position requires the ability to work successfully within a team environment, build effective working relationships, maintain a comprehensive awareness of the organization and become the “go-to” person for support activities.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Work closely with the Directors, the public sector leadership team, other Amazon groups, AWS partners, and customers
  • Manage complex calendar and scheduling requirements across multiple time zones
  • Provide seamless support to senior leaders using prioritization of business activities
  • Travel coordination (both domestic and international)
  • Expense reporting
  • Track and help drive completion of key deliverables and follow up on outstanding item
  • Drive key team activities (such as staff meeting agendas, all hands meetings, supply ordering, and cyclical events such as annual planning sessions and performance reviews)
  • This position will work with other assistants throughout the Public Sector team and across the rest of the company
