As Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) you will be part of one of the most critical teams in Digital Tech organization to keep our ecommerce business running smoothly. In this role you will have loads of exposure to the vast ecommerce environment along with several other components. You should expect extensive visibility, interesting challenges, and a wonderful team to support you all the way through.
IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK YOU WILL
Be responsible to bring the focus on reliability in the product team
Be a leader in DevOps practices and help the team to enhance SRE practices adoption
Work with development, quality assurance and architect to create better observable products
Be part of the on-call support team (follow the sun model) as the first point of contact for incidents
As an SRE, you are expected to work 50% on operations and 50% on engineering, focus on reducing toil and incident preventive actions
Join escalation meetings with technical leads, business leadership members, and external vendors
Invest time in upskilling yourself and training team members if necessary. You will be provided with a learning opportunity every step of the way
Use your technical knowledge to create tools that supports our ecommerce services
Work with the SRE and product team to identify improvements
WHAT WE’D LIKE YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE
Strong DevOps and SRE practices knowledge, around 5 years of experience in IT
Development or Ops background, eager to learn
Knowledge in Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, ELK and Jenkins is preferred
Experience with cloud computing, AWS is preferred
Understanding of Agile development environment
Proficient spoken and written command of English
Strong communication skills, ability to deliver engaging presentations to tech and business stakeholders
Flexibility to be on call is preferred
