Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Recognize outdoor and deep consumer insights
Heavily influence category direction and drive its implementation
Reduce strategies to tactical plans
Steer a cross-functional product creation team to deliver the category vision
Lead and develop the category team
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Own the Game (OTG) strategy
  • Shape and define the TERREX & FIVE TEN Off-Mountain vision and develop a dedicated plan for a path to betterment, move to natural and sustainable innovation
  • Translate consumer occasions into key stories, concepts and franchises to drive strong category growth according to the OTG priorities
  • Establish a DTC first and integrated marketplace range assortments and work with the CtC (Concept to Consumer), Brand Marketing and Sports Marketing teams throughout the season to define strategic marketing direction

Connect to humans
  • Cultivate a culture of betterment and progression, leading with a “can do” mentality and develop an "all for one attitude" within the team to ensure smooth cooperation with interlinked departments
  • Manage a team and develop their functional and social skills using available resources to create a top performing team
  • Live the brand values and be a role model for all team members regarding strategic direction and the product creation process

Create the future
  • Lead outdoor vision and launch of digital creation process in line with adidas process and tools to shorten time to market/online, closer connection to our adventurers and a more sustainable digital sample process.
  • Manage and develop optimum relationship with cross-functional teams and with interlinked departments Design, Development, AC/Futures and Sustainability to enable a clearly prioritized and efficient product creation process
  • Utilize consumer and competitor research to establish franchises and manage their lifecycle and technology roadmap
  • Challenge the cross-functional team to ensure creation of industry leading products
  • Positively represent the category both internally and externally
  • Be a competent partner for category and ranging discussions with markets and retailers
  • Define projects to optimize category performance and steer to conclusion

Own business intelligence
  • Develop a DTC first mindset by regularly reviewing and interpreting DTC sell-out information, ratings and reviews as well as membership input
  • Analyse and report category business performance to ensure achievement of category KPIs
  • Build an understanding of product information systems and the interlinking functions – clarity on respective timelines

Key Relationships:
  • Steer a strong relationship and ensure constant dialogue/feedback with
    • Your category across all functions, other categories and creation centers (if appl.)
    • Cross-functional team (Design, Development, Merchandising/CtC, AC/Futures, Materials, Costing, Planning)
    • Markets and relevant key retailers

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  • College degree, preferably in marketing/business /textile/fashion
  • Minimum of 10+ years Product Marketing experience with APP, FTW , ACC or comparable background
  • 3+ years managing and developing direct reports
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience in trade or sales is helpful
  • Fluent in English
  • PC skills (MS Office programs)
